The iPhone, iPad, and Android companion apps are in release testing — they aren't on the App Store or Google Play yet, and this guide describes the current test builds.
On a Mac-synced library, the import button brings in photos and videos from the phone — the system photo picker or the Files app. No photo-library permission is needed: the picker hands over only what you choose.
- Imports are queued, not teleported. The entry appears immediately; the Mac collects the full pixels when it’s reachable. Importing offline is safe — it lands on the next reconnect.
- The library screen shows what’s still waiting to reach the Mac.
