Whole sentences work too: “beach photos from July 2019 in Paris with Maya” combines the date, the kind (photos, videos, selfies, favourites…), the place and the person — every word narrows the result. Accents never matter (“munchen” finds München), and German, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese queries work when your device uses that language. The same query language works in the Advanced Filter's search box, on top of its format, size and resolution filters.
A plain search matches file names, photo tags, place names, text found inside photos, and dates — “June 2024” finds that month.
